v2025.8.0

We're excited to announce Hoppscotch v2025.8.0, featuring collection variables, structured JSON data support in the response viewer, advanced OAuth parameters, improved OpenAPI import support for body schemas, and desktop portable loader infra — plus lots of fixes and refinements.

Collection Variables

Scope reusable values to a collection to simplify request authoring and reduce duplication. Perfect for sharing base URLs, tokens and defaults across a set of requests without leaking to other workspaces.

Collection Variables

Structured JSON Data Support

Navigate large responses with structured fold markers in the response viewer. Collapse/expand blocks quickly to focus on the parts that matter.

Advanced OAuth Parameters

We've added support for additional parameters across OAuth 2.0 grant types, including implicit, password, and client_credentials. This gives you more flexibility when integrating with different providers. Configure the extra fields in the Authorization panel as required by your identity provider.

OpenAPI Import: Body Schemas

The OpenAPI importer now understands body schemas for POST/PUT, making generated requests more complete and accurate out of the box.

OpenTelemetry Integration (Enterprise Edition)

Enterprise Edition now integrates with OpenTelemetry to emit traces, metrics, and logs from Hoppscotch services. Forward telemetry via OTLP to your observability backend (for example, Jaeger, Tempo, Datadog, or Honeycomb) to gain deep visibility into request flows and performance across your stack.
