v2026.7.0

We're excited to announce the release of Hoppscotch v2026.7.0! This update focuses on reliability, safety, and smoother day-to-day workflows for teams, desktop users, and self-hosted deployments.

Stronger reliability for large team collections

We fixed a backend issue that could lead to request loss in large team collections. This improves consistency when working with large shared collections and helps ensure that your requests remain intact as your team collaborates.

We also addressed a personal workspace data-loss issue, helping protect user content in scenarios where workspace state could be unexpectedly overwritten.

Desktop experience and stability

This release also improves the desktop experience in a few practical ways. We hid the native Edit menu bar on Linux to reduce clutter in the desktop shell, added bounds for connection timeout values, and removed the conflicting Ctrl+Backspace and Ctrl+Delete shortcuts to make keyboard handling more predictable.

Environment values now fall back more predictably

We implemented a current-environment fallback to the initial value for environment handling. This makes environment state more predictable when switching contexts and reduces the chance of unexpected value jumps during request execution.

Security and dependency hardening

Security remains a priority in v2026.7.0. This release includes patched dependency versions for xmldom, apiconnect-wsdl, and minimatch, as well as a security patch for the dependency chain and a change to pin plugin Git dependencies by revision for more reproducible builds.
